As part of the World Environment Day initiatives, the NSS volunteers of The Elegant Arts and Science College carried out a meaningful and engaging Seed Ball Distribution Programme at a nearby Upper Primary School.
The event was designed not only to promote greenery but also to cultivate environmental awareness among young minds. Our volunteers, with great enthusiasm and commitment, distributed eco-friendly seed balls to the students. These seed balls were thoughtfully prepared in advance using native seeds, clay, and organic compost, ensuring they were safe, sustainable, and easy to plant.
What made the event truly special was the interaction between the NSS team and the school children. The team patiently explained the purpose of the seed balls, how they work, and their role in supporting the environment. The students showed genuine curiosity and excitement, eagerly participating and promising to plant the seed balls in their surroundings.
The school staff extended their heartfelt appreciation for the initiative and expressed their willingness to collaborate in similar future activities. The programme served as a gentle reminder that even small actions, when shared with younger generations, can spark long-term environmental responsibility.
