The NSS unit ( Unit No: 324) of The Elegant Arts and Science College Palakkad has celebrated World Environment Day on June 5th 2024. This year’s NSS  unit of our college has emphasized on the theme of World Environment Day 2024- ” Land restoration, desertification and drought resilience”. Principal Dr.Abrar K J inaugurated the programme and forwarded the messages of importance of plantation. IQAC coordinator Smt. RevathiK , Staff coordinator Shri. MuhammedIqbal M, NSS  coordinators Smt.Thasneem K A, Smt. Haritha K, Smt. Anjana P S, other faculties and students took part in the programme. As an inevitable part of the programme, the NSS unit conducted a plastic free campus campaign. As part of World Environment Day celebrations a  pencil drawing competition and digital poster making competition was organised on June 5th. The theme of the pencil drawing competition was ‘ Earth and Drought’. Three best entries were selected and awarded prizes. The event was conducted successfully with wholehearted participation and awareness for a greener world.
